We get publicity!

Although the King Æthelstan Project is still at an early prototype stage, we are starting to get some publicity. A post on the ECE Faculty Instagram profile, @kingston_ece, received over 2,000 views on the first day! It features a short clip I created while walking around campus with the headset—see below (watch with sound on!).

King Æthelstan Project

On 5 March, Kingston University students and staff had the opportunity to try a pre-release version of our mixed reality experience at the Creative Industries Careers Day in Town House. You can see the day’s action here, with me holding a Meta Quest 3 headset and looking around.

Earlier, I had the tremendous pleasure of presenting the King Æthelstan Project to two key figures at Kingston University: Marcus O’Dair, Director of the Design, Arts, and Creative Practice KERI, and Jean-Christophe Nebel, Head of the Cyber, Engineering, and Digital Technologies KERI. You can read more about it in my LinkedIn post.
